Asean Economic Community 'AEC 2015' is no longer a dream but a reality and we will have to embrace it before the end of this 2015.
AEC 2015 is a uniting of 10 ASEAN countries and all 10 countries have agreed to use English as the language for business. Labor mobility, or free movement to work in any of the 10 ASEAN countries will give professionals more options when choosing a career. Students who are preparing for ASEAN 2015 are pursuing credentials that are widely accepted both locally in the Philippines and globally.
The ETS TOEIC® tests are the world leader in assessing English proficiency for the workplace, with 7 million tests delivered in over 140 countries in 2012. 7 out of the top 10 largest companies prefer the TOEIC® tests and scores are recognized by over 14,000 organizations worldwide.
The Philippines has a competitive advantage in the English language, and the Lyceum of the Philippines University chose the TOEIC® tests as the credential of choice to highlight this to potential employers. The TOEIC® tests are widely accepted by our ASEAN neighbors such as Thailand (Bangkok Airways, Thai Airways), Vietnam (Mitsubishi, NEC, Holcim), Malaysia (AirAsia, Packard Bell), Indonesia (Ministry of Education).
The Lyceum of the Philippines University (Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Manila) certifies the English proficiency of all their students with the TOEIC® tests to prepare them for the global economy. To date there have been 22 topnotchers who scored a perfect TOEIC® score of 990, an outstanding academic achievement.
