Saint Jude Catholic School (SJCS) has recently introduced the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL®) Junior to its students to globally certify their communication skills and produced 38 perfect scorers in its October 2019 test.
For 58 years, SJCS has been committed to providing quality and relevant education. In line with this, the school makes sure that they offer assessments to help make each student be globally competitive. In 2019, SJCS started offering the TOEFL® Junior to its students to align their communication skills to international standards and to promote an English proficient culture.
The assessment was offered as part of the SJCS premier education program to help students measure and improve their communication skills, marking their preparation for future assessments and global certification as they enter senior high school. 609 students took the assessment and 38 achieved perfect scores.

The TOEFL® assessment is the most widely respected English-language test worldwide and is recognized by over 8,500 institutions including universities and colleges in Australia, Canada, UK, and the United States. It serves as a credential for students to be able to study abroad and receive scholarships. TOEFL® Primary tests are designed for students ages 8+ and measure the English communication skills that provide a foundation for students' future success. Intended for students ages 11+, the TOEFL Junior® tests are an objective, reliable measure of your students' English communication skills that can help pinpoint strengths and challenges in English communication. TOEFL® ITP tests are administered to ages 15+ to measure English listening and reading ability, as well as knowledge of Structure and Written Expression, in both academic and social contexts. There's a TOEFL® test for every stage of English-language proficiency to guide learning, inform teaching and help students achieve academic goals.
